Making The Games
The brief
Education foundation, Edge, challenged us to create a practical careers site that shines a spotlight on preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to show young people where practical and vocational paths can take them.
Our approach
Our research with young people showed that they’re excited by the Games and especially inspired by jobs that might give them access to unique experiences. So we made the workers the stars of the show, following their career paths and work through short profiles, daily diaries and photo stories.
The result
The site launched in February 2010 and Edge is rolling out its marketing plan in the run up to the Games. The site is a London 2012 Inspire Marque project and is LOCOG’s practical learning website for the Games.
